February is truly a month of patience-building.

i just finished my very irritating chapter of reading for intercultural comm( hereby known as ICC), thinking, FINALLY!!, when i got an email from my prof:

"Dear all:

The reading for this week are posted. I changed the readings due to copyright issue. Please read the new 3 articles instead. "

sent when? this morning.

i stared at the email, speechless.

you know, it's like you've been plowing with a dining fork at a piece of land the entire day (or two, because it's easy to get distracted while doing irritating, mundane things), and your father calls out to you after you're satisfied and done and say, "hey, dude! i meant the OTHER piece of land!" and you look over and see him pointing at an entire blanket of hills and valleys overgrown with weeds and tao geh.

and your dining fork is now the size of a toothpick.

the kind, you know, that should be used to eat fishballs, sotong balls or those tiny sausages.

anyway.

and then you know that you can mope and whine and roll on the ground shouting "but i don't want to do it!!!!!!!!" and it will all be futile. life has to go on and you still have to plow that cursed piece of land.

with your toothpick.

sigh.
